The "STAR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION" is a Socio-Economic Voluntary Non-Govt. Organization of Assam was Registered on 28th Day of April, 2017 under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Vide Registration No.- RS/ DAR/ 247/ K/ 07 of 2017-2018.
As the Society is a Socio-Economic Voluntary Organization, it has been working since its inception i.e. 2018 in the field of all-round Developments aspect according to the Chief aim and objectives for the purpose of which the Society initially constituted.
To provide free medical treatment and medical check-up to the poor and the needy and to initiate steps for child health care through any or all recognized medical systems.
Free distribution of medicines during the event of epidemics and diseases spread as the adverse effects of natural calamities, Promoting health education in school and in the society at large.
To provide food and shelter and work for rehabilitation of victims of natural calamities. To create awareness on drug abuse, addiction of alcoholism, anti-social ailments and to help people recover from addiction and alcoholism using 12 step programme.
To organize seminars and workshop for the development of entrepreneurs, create and innovate new ideas to revolutionize self-employment, take initiative for the implementation of Government Schemes and policies.
To conduct awareness programs for un-employed youth.
To promote and encourage physical fitness, yoga, meditation and moral education to the children, youth and women for development good health, good character and to build-up a strong, healthy, discipline nation as well as to develop the sportsman sprit among the youth of the society.
To promote and work for all round development of games and sports among the youth, especially that of indigenous games and sports.
o arrange various games and sports like- cricket, football, judo, hockey, badminton, volleyball etc. in the area. amongst the students and youth of the localities by providing play grounds, sports clubs, indoor stadium.
