The "STAR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION" has organized a 7 days' Workshop on Bihu Dance on 15th April, 2023 to 21st April, 2023 at Chakarmukh Village under Darrang district of Assam. A total of 135 nos. of Bihu Artiest were participated the Workshop; where Bihu Expert taught different technique about Bihu to the Artiest. On the closing day of the programme the Chief Guest of the function distributed Certificate to the Artiest who participated the Workshop. The Secretary of the organization in his speech encouraged the Artiest towards performed the Bihu Dance, which is a symbol of our identity. The "STAR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION" has observed "World Environment Day" on 5th June, 2023 at Chakarmukh under Darrang district of Assam with a Programme on Tree Plantation. 50 people were participated the programme. Experts from the Department of Forests and reputed NGOs were engaged as resource persons in the programme. Resource persons highlighted the programme through awareness about deforestation and regeneration of forests, plantation of trees to control environments, soil erosion, and income generation through Joint Forest Management Committee (JFMC) etc. The experts also explained about various government sponsored schemes for self employment and self sustenance etc. The programme was had a good impact to the participants.

Safe drinking water is a problem in the Urban area as there is no proper and regular water supply facilities. Due to lack of safe drinking water people of the rural area often become victims of various water borne diseases. To help the people of the area and make them aware of rain water, the "STAR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION" has conducted an awareness programme on rain water harvesting on 17th January, 2024 at Chakarmukh village under Darrang district of Assam. The programme was attended by 40 male from different areas and was facilitated by resource persons from the department of P.H.E.D. The resource persons explained about safe drinking water and its necessity for hygienic living, water borne diseases and its remedies. Further, they advised the participants to use rain water as a substitute of supply water. They also explained how to collect and preserve rain water. The programme was very much useful to the participants and was fruitful.

Due to increase in population, the scope of employment has become a problem in the country. As a result unemployment problem becomes every day's say among the educated youths. To help the educated youths in solving their unemployment problem and involved themselves as a youth leader, the "STAR RURAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION" has conducted a programme on youth motivation & skill development on 15th March, 2024 at Chakarmukh village under Darrang district of Assam. The programme was attended by 75 youth participants and laws facilitated by the experts from concerned departments and reputed NGOs. The experts emphasized on the importance of skill development and training which will help the trainees in job placement in govt. and private institutions/firms, how to become a youth leader was discussed. They also explained about self employment and self sustenance after training. The president of the society in his presidential speech emphasized the trainees to start their own enterprises with bank linkage which will help them in generating their own income for self sustenance.

The programme was facilitated by the Official from Public Health Engineering Department; Mangaldoi Division has grace the programme. Awareness about Cleanliness, Health and Sanitation, hygienic living etc. were the topics of the programme. The Try Colour National Flag was hoist by the OC of Sipajhar Police Station and he stress to importance of the day. In this connection, a public meeting was held, where few prominent freedom fighter was attended the programme and they have felicitated by the committee. Art competition was held for students both of the days. Both the programme was very must enjoyable.
